New Returns | Buybacks

New Returns Policy

Cash register receipt required for all returns or exchanges. Sorry, NO EXCEPTION. Textbooks must be returned by the end of the first week of school, for Fall and Spring. Textbooks returned after the return period will be bought back based on wholesale pricing or can be held and sold back during the next buyback session.

Do not remove the plastic shrink-wrap from textbooks. Textbooks with wrap removed will be treated as used book and may not be refundable at all and will be subject to a re-shrink wrapping fee.

Textbooks with a disk in them, when the disk package has been opened will also be treated as used books and may not be refundable.

New books must be returned in NEW condition. Any new book with torn or tattered covers or pages will
not be returnable. New books with any writing in them, including your name, will not be returnable. Check through all books for any manufacturing defects such as poor bindings or missing pages. Defective books will be replaced only during the first eight weeks of the semester.

Textbooks not sold during the first three weeks of the semester will be returned to the publishers, so be sure to purchase all your books by then.

All refunds will be at CSI Bookstore staff's discretion based on this policy.

Buyback Policy

During finals week of the Fall 2007 semester, Dec. 17th-20th, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for Twin Falls, and Dec. 17th 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Dec. 19th 10:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m., Dec. 18th 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for Burley, the College of Southern Idaho bookstore will buy back your textbooks for about half of your purchase price, provided they will be used the following semester and provided that your books are allowed to be re-sold as a used book. We buy back only as many as we need for the following semester, so first come first served. We recommend that you bring your books in as soon as possible during this week. Your register receipt is not needed at this time.

A major wholesaler will be available during finals week to do our buyback. We make this option available as a service to CSI students. Most books that CSI won't buy back may still have some value and the wholesaler will buy them if they have a need for them. So, even if your book is from another college or you think it is old and of no value, bring it in anyway, you may be surprised.

Note: Wholesalers purchase books based on supply and demand and they set wholesale prices themselves. CSI Bookstore is not responsible for price quotes you receive when selling your books to the wholesale buyer.
